Job

Role:

• Monitors and appraises the performance of Contractors engaged in the design and construction of project components.
• Coordinates the resolution of technical issues associated with the riser scope as related to LLE. Serves as interface between Project Team and Function.


General Responsibilities:

• Evaluates the Contractor’s plans and procedures for engineering and construction of components and systems to ensure compliance with the Contract.
• Monitors Contractor’s performance as the work progresses to insure that sound engineering skills are applied and that engineering and construction procedures conform to Contract specifications, industry standards and good engineering practices.
• Reviews and initiates necessary actions on Contractor’s proposed variations to those specified in the Contract.
• Reviews and advises on any issues that may have a cost or schedule impact.
• Participates in progress monitoring and reporting activities.

Competencies:

• Detail knowledge of deep water riser engineering including familiarity with latest software applications and design/fabrication issues with steel catenary risers.
• Worked in a similar function on recent large deep water projects.
• Good understanding of engineering and construction practices, specifications and industry practices and regulations.
• Has clearly demonstrated technical competence, depth of experience and ability to develop working relationships and become a team player.
• Possess good oral and written English language skills required to function effectively within a project team and to communicate with Project Management, Contractors and sub-contractors.
• Demonstrated willingness to relocate to work sites worldwide.
