Job Summary:

Oversee the inventory management process and ensure accurate tracking, accounting and reporting of telco inventory assets on a timely basis

Principal Functions:

Develop and implement strategic policies & procedures for telco inventory management

Maintain financial and operational controls to safeguard telco inventory assets

Monitor and maintain telco inventory database integrity on Oracle Inventory ERP

Develop and implement robust templates for accurate and timely reporting of telco inventory

Ensure accurate costing and valuation of telco inventory assets in the Balance Sheet

Provide direction and guidance to stakeholders in the inventory management chain

Oversee the tracking and control of telco inventory movement for accuracy and completeness

Monitor accurate processing of inventory transactions on Oracle inventory application

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory balances in various warehouses across the country

Plan and co-ordinate inventory cycle counts for item balance verification and general ledger reconciliation

Manage Oracle inventory system routines for pricing update, item code creation and warehouse activation

Make adequate provisions for damaged/obsolete inventory items and update underlying records accordingly

Ensure accurate costing of telco inventory deliveries and receipts into warehouse on Oracle inventory system

Perform Shop control cycle visits for compliance checks, inventory balance verification and item status

Supervise Balance Sheet reconciliation of inventory accounts and preparation of month-end schedules

Generate inventory valuation and other key reports at month-end for management review and decision making.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any other numerate discipline

Relevant postgraduate and/or professional qualifications/ certifications will be an added advantage

Experience & Skills:

Between five (5) and eight (8) years’ directly-relevant post-NYSC work experience, preferably within a telco business environment

Ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate:

• Good working knowledge of ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in use of MS Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
