Reports To: Head-Finance Support

Job Summary:

Provide financial and business analyses support to functional business areas

Support Finance Managers in working with the business teams to deliver against agreed targets, ensuring benefits are optimized and costs managed within agreed envelopes

Provide guidance to the business on finance issues

Principal Functions:

Assist in monitoring and controlling financial performance via the monthly reporting and forecasting processes; continuously contribute to improving forecasting quality and accuracy

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget to ensure timely and accurate submission in required format

Perform variance analyses to monitor key performance drivers and reasons for variances vs. forecasts and business cases

Provide analyses of local business cases including identification and classification of costs for posting, cash flow forecasting and financial benefits

Provide financial inputs/analyses to various decision making processes and assess all revenue enhancing and cost saving initiatives

Build strong and influential relationships with business teams to drive effective departmental reporting

Liaise with, support and assist business areas on all financial and operational issues; ensure data quality and compliance with accounting policies

Identify short- and medium-term business and financial issues that could have an impact on the performance of the organisation

Assist the Head & Managers within Finance Support on other ad hoc projects

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration and/ or Finance, preferably a Second Class Upper

Relevant postgraduate and/or professional qualifications/ certifications will be an added advantage, e.g MBA, Master’s, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc

Experience & Skills:

Between two (2) and five (5) years’ directly-relevant post-NYSC work experience

Ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent skills in Excel-based modeling and analysis, report writing, business case development and lateral co-ordination
