Job Title	Sponsorship & Events Manager

Location:	Lagos
Job Description:	•Develop and implement short and long term strategy for the sponsorship, promotions and events teams for penetration into the Consumer/marketing segment of the Nigerian telecom market •Execute the activities stipulated in the Consumer Marketing Management plan to ensure that brand and communication objectives are achieved. •Assess sponsorship proposals related to Consumer marketing •Coordinate and manage MTN’s sponsorship activities in the Consumer market segment •Build and manage relationship with agencies and affinity partners •Monitor external vendors, event managers and agencies to ensure activities are cost effective and agreed to timelines or scales •Design and implement metrics to measure impact of current processes and strategy related to sponsorship, promotions, and events •Develop and maintain relationship with property owners •Initiate and facilitate all sponsorship, promotions and events related to Consumer marketing •Manage and control Consumer market sponsorships, promotions and events budget and report sponsorship and events expenditure to ensure spend does not exceed the authorized communication and brand budget
Job Conditions:	Normal MTN working conditions. Frequent travelling and at short notice.
Reporting To:	Senior Manager, Master Brand
Required Skills:	•Bachelors degree in a business related or social science discipline •Masters in Business Administration would be an added advantage •A minimum of 8 years work experience which includes: •5 years marketing experience, on either the client or the agency’s side •3 years experience in sponsorships and events •Experience with budget management and people leadership •Experience in managing properties and an understanding of the impact and limitations of sponsorships •Brand management and project management
