Job description
• Coordinating the billing functions of the 3 sections of the billing department i.e., Post-paid, Prepaid and data billing.
• Responsible for the end- to –end post-paid billing process by ensuring that rating of files is up to date and all files have been rated successfully. Invoices are sent to the business in time for distribution to all subscribers.
• Coordinating the functions of all Value Added Systems that fall within the scope of IBM. Ensure systems are being backed up, and availability of each VAS service is per business agreed target KPIs
• Ensure timely resolution of all billing and Value added services issues raised by the business. Depending on the severity each raised incident to be resolved as per business agreed MTTR (Mean time To resolve). Own and ensure closure of billing related severity 1 incidents.
• Weekly and monthly reports to the Country service manager and Telecom Business Operations competency lead on various performance or milestones achieved in the billing systems. Reporting on various billing system KPIs to the service management
• Guide the billing team in performing their duties and delivering as per assigned KPIs.
• Coordinating and ensuring time delivery of the post-paid bill run as per customer requirements
• Responsible for change management of all billing related changes by ensuring that all such changes are routed through the change advisory board. All changes to be analyzed for risks and downtime to be properly planned before changes are implemented.
• To create an interface to between the billing systems and the MIS reporting systems. This is to ensure that all billing system revenues are properly being reported.
• To act as an advisor to the internal customers on new services and products being requested from the billing systems. Business customers require an understanding of some billing systems functionality for them to raise a request for a new development in the particular system, this is the role of the billing manager to offer such advise
• Ensure that the ERP system(Enterprise resource planning) is being maintained and properly backed up and a cloned made available for the business. This will ensure the application is accessible and the data is fully secure for business use.
• Ensuring interconnect files are being sent in time.
• Ensure Billing revenue assurance. This ensures that the billing systems are generating revenue as expected by the business and ensures that this revenue is being reported.
Required
  • Pre-University qualification
  • At least 3 years experience in Coordinating the billing functions of the 3 sections of the billing department. Post-paid, Prepaid and data billing
  • At least 3 years experience in Team management,Preparation of weekly and monthly reports
  • English: Fluent


Preferred
  • At least 5 years experience in Coordinating the billing functions of the 3 sections of the billing department. Post-paid, Prepaid and data billing
  • At least 5 years experience in Team management,Preparation of weekly and monthly reports
