Action Against Hunger (ACF)-USA is part of the ACF-international Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.

ACF Nigeria is looking for suitable candidates for the following

Position: Logistician (1)

Location: Abuja FCT


Purpose:
  • Operate and monitor the running of logistics department on the mission in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator, according to the procedures and internal policies of ACF Offer technical support to logistics departments of all field bases. Act as Logistics Coordinator in that person’s absence, by taking responsibility for mission-wide logistics operations.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Graduated in business or & relevant technical field, with 2+ years professional experiences logistics; exceptional organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and capacity to manage large quantities of products, resources and information in a strategic and thorough manner; computer literacy and solid written and verbal communication skills; diplomacy and ability to interact with and negotiate with suppliers and other stakeholders, team player; diplomatic; resourceful and independent/self-motivated.

Position: Storekeeper/Logistics Support (1)

Location: Jigawa State

Purpose:
  • Provide support to the Dutse base’s logistics department in stock-taking and management of supplies/stores, as well as repair and maintenance of office compound and guesthouse, in dose coordination with the Base Logistician and senior logistics team. Adhere to ACF’s standards, procedures and policies of logistics operations.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • School certificate. Fluent in English and Hausa. Team player, good attention to detail self-motivating, organized and able to keep to timelines. Basic skills in maintenance and repair,


Position: Drivers, Yobe and Jigawa State (multiple openings in both states)

Purpose:
  • Safely transport people and goods as assigned; ensure maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s) is carried out; carry out basic errands on behalf of organization as required.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • School certificate and valid, current driver’s license, mechanical skills. Additional courses in defensive driving and road safety an asset. At least 1 year experience as a professional driver.
  • Must be punctual, flexible on shift work , aware of and consistently in adherence to traffic rules and regulations.

The listed vacancies do NOT entail any relocation compensation and priority with be given to locally-based candidates for all areas.

Position: State Technical Advisor (1)

Location: Yobe State

Position: Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Advisor, (1)

Location: Yobe State

Purpose:
  • Ensure implementation of the M&E plan for ACPs Nutrition Program, including monitor progress against activity/milestones, and support State TA, LGA and IYCF TAs, and Government counterparts.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • At least a bachelor’s level degree in health economics or epidemiology; advanced training in quantitative methodologies, including database management; computer
  • literacy; 3+ years direct experience in M&E in fields of nutrition, health, epidemiology and/or economics; analytical skills and understanding of relevant methods of M&E and assessment to promote evidence-based learning; sound planning, management and work plan execution capacity; ability to build others’ capacity and work with diverse stakeholders; excellent verbal and written communications skills, including formal reporting, in both English and Hausa; flexibility and adaptability to job demands; commitment to humanitarian values and approaches including equality of opportunity and access, child protection, and health and safety


Position: Infant & Young Child Feeding Technical Advisor, (1)

Location: Yobe State

Purpose:
  • Support implementation of IYCF activity by providing training and guidance to STAs, LTAs and Government counterparts.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a health-related field; professional
  • background in health (nurse, midwife, etc.) with 3+years experience in IYCF and breastfeeding counseling; computer literate; solid strategic thinking, planning, reporting and communication skills; fluent in English and Hausa; able to work with diverse stakeholders and with partner organizations and staff effectively; flexibility and adaptability to job demands; commitment to humanitarian values as above.

Position: State Technical Advisor (1)

Location: Yobe State


Purpose:
  • Strengthen capacity of the State  Nutrition Officer and deputy(s)teams, in management, delivery, and advocacy of cost-effective malnutrition prevention and treatment


Interventions

Qualifications & Skills:
  • At least a bachelor’s level degree in program management health and nutrition, or related field; strong program management background with 5+ years of managing health/nutrition related programs; significant experience in managing and delivering programs including costing and budgeting; strong analytical, strategic thinking, planning, financial/resource and personnel management; ability to set priorities, create and monitor workplans, evaluate program progress; strong computer skills; highly effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hausa; ability to work effectively with high-level government partners and other stakeholders: able to build capacity in other and share expertise, flexibility and adaptability to job demands; commitment to humanitarian values and approaches including equal opportunity and access, child protection.


Position: Local Government Area Technical Advisors, (3)

Location: Yobe State

Purpose:
  • Strengthen capacity of the Local Government Area focal person for nutrition in management, delivery, and advocacy of cost-effective malnutrition prevention and treatment interventions

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in program management health and nutrition, or a related social science; 3+ years experience in program management; strong planning and analytical skills; able to manage resources and work plans effectively, to work with and build toe capacity of partners and other stakeholders; strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hausa; flexibility and adaptability to job demands: commitment to humanitarian values as above.
