Invensys Operations Management (IOM) is a FTSE 250 company who

optimization of plant operation and is at the forefront of technological
innovation. We serve process industries such as oil and gas,
hydrocarbons, chemicals, power and utilities, metals and mining, and
also the discrete and hybrid manufacturing sectors such as
pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare and life sciences. We are now
looking to hire an exceptionally talented Accountant for our team in
Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Partner with key staff and managers to obtain relevant information for month end activities.
• Lead accounting activities including developing processes consistent with Invensys business, deploying standard processes, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and standards of internal control.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, and statutory accounting requirements.
• Drive initiatives in Finance/ Accounting relating to:
o General Accounting,
o Cost Accounting including standard Cost Variance Analysis,
o Capital Projects Requests Development and Expense Control,
o Month End Reporting,
o Process Improvement Savings Calculations and Reporting, and
o Inventory Control and Obsolete Inventory Analysis.
• Ensure all financial reporting is completed accurately and timely.
• Identify and communicate financial issues, risks, and opportunities.
• Research accounting and reporting issues; recommend actions based on accounting and/ or reporting requirements.
• Advise junior accountants to facilitate learning, consistency, and technical depth.
• Stay current with all accounting and reporting requirements which impact Invensys Nigeria's accounting and external reporting requirements.
Measure of Success:
• Follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure standards are met according to company and regulatory standards.

Desired Skills & Experience
EssentialTechnical Competencies
• Bachelors Degree in finance or accounting.
• 5-7 years experience..

• Ability to work a professional schedule with non-regular hours, as required.
• Visual and manual dexterity to perform daily computer functions.
• Ability to sit and concentrate for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in and around an office environment.
• Ability to travel, as needed.
