Job Description
Provide professional input and advice to the GM Enterprise S Propositions and Marketing Relations in developing an ES strategy.
  • Leadership of a professional propositions and product development ES Product Management  teamManagement team to meet targets for profitability and revenues, as agreed with the GM ES Propositions andEnterprise Marketing MarketingRelations.
  • Use market gap analysis and segmentation data on the Nigerian enterprise solutions market to identify opportunities for additional products and services.  Present
  • Develop compelling business cases for new propositions and products, demonstrating return on investment.
  • Develop,  commission and manage new ICT, Data and B2B propositions, products and services within the distinct Enterprise Solutions brand (MTN Business) and within the wider product and services “master brand” managed by MTN Nigeria Marketing Group.
  • Commission and manage the development of new propositions, products and services, meeting agreed cost and quality targets.
  • Develop and document a product launch process for enterprise solutions propositions, products and services which is fully compatible with MTN Nigeria processes.
  • Manage product launch of all new propositions, products and services, ensuring effective implementation and hand-over to the in-life propositions and product management the Segment Management, ES Business Performance and ES Brand and Communication teamsteam.
  • Work with the Product and Value Pricing Manager, ES Marketing and MTN Finance groups to develop a competitive price which generates agreed margins for all new products and services.
  • Work with the ES Communications Planning Manager to develop effective product launch communications.
  • Ensdure full integration of quality management processes within the Propositions and Product Development Group and their effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Use relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate managerial action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide performance data to support management decision-making.
  • lead product development & management strategy (end-to-end product management of all ES services)
  • Ensure full compliance with telecommunications licence provisions, sector regulations and competition laws.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A first degree in Engineering and/or Design , Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Training and certification in Project Management is desirable
  • A Masters Degree (MBA/Msc) is desirable
  • Minimum of 12 years working experience comprising:
  • 5 years in a Managerial role in the Telecoms/ ICT industry or similar role
  • Over 5 years experience in managing end-to-end product development & management processes in a business solutions/B2B environment
  • Experience in product marketing or business development in an ICT/Telecoms environment will be an advantage 
  • Experience of managing end-to-end product development processes in a Nigerian enterprise solutions environment.
  • Strong Project Mmanagement skills.
  • Commercial understanding of the Nigerian business environment and its trends and the co-requisite ICT needs and trends
  • Understanding of costing and pricing structures and strategies – particularly where products may be grouped to provide a solution.
  • Experience in lLeading and managing ed a virtual product development team, motivating others to achieve targets
