To effectively manage the Central Cash Operations and ensure
Control of the Banks local and foreign currency cash, Cash Passport, CIT
vendors activities, Foreign Drafts and other banking instruments.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
•Manage and maintain cash limits both at Central Cash and Branches and ensure prompt movement of excesses.
•Plan and co-ordinate delivery and collection of cash to and from the Central Bank.
•Ensure optimal performance and monitoring of CIT vendors.
•Ensure that foreign cash held is within set limit.
•Verify that vault/reserve cash movement differences are resolved daily.
•Supply cash both local and foreign with minimum delay to Branches as per SLA.
•Manage, motivate and train staff to ensure performance is optimised.
•Maintain key control standards and effectively deploy all ORM toolkits.
•Hold in joint custody the banks Certificates of Investments (Commercial papers, bankers acceptances, Negotiable Certificate of Deposits, Capital Importation certificates etc) and avail the same to the Bank’s auditors on demand.
•Hold in joint custody, keys to vault cash compartments.
Qualifications & Skills
Relevant university degree or equivalent
5 years appropriate banking operations experience.
Adequate knowledge of relevant banking software.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong numerical ability.
In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
