Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku Admission into Higher National Diploma Programmes and Center for Basic and Advanced Studies for the 2012/2013 Academic Session

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission into Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku for the 2012/2013 Academic Session into the folllowing full-time HND programmes and Basic and Advanced Studies.


A. HND Programmes

HND Computer Science
HND Hospitality Management

(II) School of Art & Design
HND Fine & Applied Arts (Sculpture & Graphics Options)
HND Fashion Design & Clothing Technology

(III) School of Business Studies
HND Accountancy

(IV)School of Engineering
HND Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing & Poweer Plant Options)
HND Welding & Fabrication Engineering


B. Entry Requirements for HND Programmes.

(1) A National Diploma (ND) obtained with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant discIplines from National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) accredited programmes.

(2) A minimum of one (1) year Industrial Training in the field of specialization.

(3) Candidates who obtained ND at Pass Level with a minimum of two (2) years Industrial Training Experience.

(4) GCE ‘O Level, SSCE (WAEC & NECO), NABTEB or its equivalent with at least five (5) Credit passes in relevant subjects in not more than two (2) sittings with Credits in Maths & English.


C. Center for Basic and Advanced Studies

Centre for Basic and Advanced Studies is to prepare individuals for JAMB, UTME, and those deficient in their WAEC. NECO and NABTEB exams. It also prepares candidates for ICAN, ANAN in addition to various skills development programmes.

Note: Candidates are to be given certificates of attendance and can only be admitted into the Polytechnic programmes after their success in the JAMB & UTME Exams with basic WAEC, NABTEB and NECO NBTE Credit requirements in the relevant courses.

E. Method of Application

Payment should be made online with InterSwitch ATM card/Master card. Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) for HND programme and Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) for Basic & Advanced Studies.
