Maersk Nigeria is looking for an accomplished HR Business Partner to handle various operational activities related to HR function in order to ensure that employees receive timely & accurate information relating to their HR needs. 

Job Title: HR Business Partner - APM Terminals Onne, Nigeria, Nigeria

Role & Responsibility 

  • Recruitment
  • Release advertisements & consultant briefs for recruitment
  • Obtain resumes & work with line manager to screen these
  • Organize interview schedules & obtain feedback on interviews
  • Respond in a timely manner to all candidates & to consultants
  • Administer tests & interviews for positions
  • Schedule & conduct the employee orientation on joining
  • Obtains progress reports of employees on probation & briefs HR Manager after review on course of action
  • Compensation
  • Prepares manpower budgets in conjunction with line manager & HR Manager
  • Maintains & updates the manpower budgets for the organization
  • Updates employee payroll data
  • Tracks achievement & payment on all incentive programs
  • Monitors overtime & brings to attention of HR Manager major deviations in trend.
  • Ensures new job descriptions are attached for promotion & salary review requests. Compares & contrasts with old description to highlight changes to HR Manager
 
Job Design

  • Ensures maintenance of updated job descriptions for all employees in the organization
  • Ensures that organization charts are maintained in an updated manner
  • Ensures that job descriptions are in line with organization charts
 
HR Policy Development

  • Ensures that services provided by third party suppliers are reviewed/renewed in a timely manner prior to contract expiry
  • Responsible for maintenance of the HR policy manual in a completely updated manner & for the posting of policy amendments after communication is made of these amendments by HR Manager
  • Prepares all HR policy documents for authorization
  • Assists in the preparation of all employee communication plans
 
Talent Management

  • Works with line management to complete talent identification as per policy
  • Assists in the preparation of fast track career compass for staff identified as talent
 
Employee Grievance & Discipline

Records all details related to employee grievances & ensures that these are resolved in a timely manner according to the policy
 
Severance

  • Arranges & conduct exit interviews for employees severing service
  • Ensures tracking after exit interviews of employee feedback so that organization can track turnover data
 
Compliance

Prepares a report on compliance to both HR & business policy on a monthly basis for review by HOHR
 
Employee Engagement

  • Administers questionnaire
  • Analyzes results & completes brief for management
  • Follow up on action points decided
 
Performance Management

  • Schedules the Performance Management Process
  • Ensures staff are appropriately trained by scheduling communication sessions
  • Reviews forms for completion in accordance with policy when submitted & ensures completion
  • Summarizes key discussion points for HR Manager
  • Ensures objectives are set in SMART format
  • Compiles information on performance calibration
  • Does complete analysis for all staff on the pay for performance system on completion of assessment process
