NGO Jobs in Lagos, Owerri, PH & Benin City at Center For The Right To Health (CRH)

Sequel to increased activities, Center For The Right To Health (CRH), a Non-Profit organization, dedicated to research, training, service delivery and advocacy for the full realization of the right to health in Nigeria, especially for vulnerable groups seek qualified and committed persons to fill up the underlisted positions in her new USAID supported project “strengthening HIV Prevention for Most At Risk Persons in Nigeria”.


Position: Programmes Manager       

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Duties and Responsibility
  • This is a senior officer position reporting to the project team leader in the region, The successful candidate will support the coordination and management of the regional level activities of the project for most at risk populations (MARPS);
  • S/He will also coordinate the implementation of Peer Education interventions among key target populations in the field locations;
  • S/He will manage funds and related workshops, meetings and other events and act as a supervisor, coach, mentor and provide technical support to the key target populations (KTP) and community facilitators;
  • S/He will facilitate community mobilisation, training of facilitators and supervision of community facilitators and will provide support for the coordination and preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly work-plans and budgets for programme implementation;
  • Will also provide support for the monitoring and evaluation of programme implementation at the community level and coordinate the implementation of capacity building activities for CBOs to provide MARPs friendly services in the States.

Qualifications/Experience
The desired candidate:
  • Must possess a first degree in the Communication, Social, or Health sciences;
  • Must possess a minimum of four (4) years post NYSC experience preferably in the field of community level behaviour change communication;
  • Ability to speak the predominant language of the state will be an advantage;
  • Must possess excellent planning and organisational skills and good writing and documentation skills;
  • Must possess excellent skills in computer knowledge and application;
  • Must possess a high level of integrity;
  • Must possess the ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Must have significant experience in working in programme for most at risk population and other community related HIV programme for vulnerable populations;
  • Must have past experience as a trained peer educator or IPC conductor is useful as the successful candidate will be required to support outreaches to KTPs to inform behaviour change;

Position: Program Officers

Locations: Lagos, Owerri, Port Harcourt and Benin City

Duties and Responsibilities
These are project officer positions.
  • Selected candidates will report to the organization’s Program Manager at the Zone and the MARPs Project regional team leader;
  • He/She will lead the implementation of field activities and support the coordination and management of activities of the MARPS project in the State;
  • S/He will liaise with organizations Finance Staff and Zonal Manager to manage funds and related workshops, meeting, peer education, outreaches and other events; The successful candidates will act as mentor supervisor and provide technical support to KTP community facilitators and local project, formed Community Based Organizations;
  • S/He must have good working knowledge of the Communities and experience working with members of the communities;
  • S/He will facilitate community mobilisation, training of facilitators and supervision of community facilitators and will provide support for the coordination and preparation of annual, quarterly arid monthly work-plans and budgets for programme implementation;
  • Will also provide support for the monitoring and evaluation of programme implementation at the community level and coordinate the implementation of capacity building activities for CBOs to provide MARPs friendly services in the States;
  • Ability to speak the language and relate with the Community is an advantage;
  • Past experience as trained Peer educator and work experience with the target population is required of successful candidates as they would be required to support outreaches for target populations to inform on behaviour change and behaviour maintenance.

Qualifications
