Job Title:
Service Engineer

Location:
Lagos

Job Purpose is:
To ensure all machines are working effectively to produce maximum output. Overall responsibility for machine maintenance and service planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Production Department in accordance to with the terms of the customer contract and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Scheduled Maintenance of all machines which includes all the heavy machinery (personalization, mailing, milling and embedding) on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Carry out troubleshooting, repairs and servicing of all machines,enable hardware to the highest standards
  • Conduct and record safety tests on all machines
  • Recording and reporting (weekly /monthly) on down time, spare level and others that might affect machine operability
  • Write accurate professional reports on technical issues and interfacing with all involved functions
  • Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools
  • Ensure all machines are in excellent conditions, serviced regularly and spare parts stock levels are maintained
  • Partly responsible in setting up new machines and conducting pre-­set up inspection prior to installation.
  • Adhere to installation guidelines and industry best practices in order to deliver quality Operations.
  • Trouble shooting when errors occur on the machines
  • Report and escalate all observed incidents, irregularities that occur through proper operational escalation points
  • Develop service culture amongst all machine operators
  • Training of card engineers, mailing officers on proper operation of machines
  • Monitor the card engineers/mailing officers’ use of the machines and ensure they are working effectively
  • Ability to impart knowledge to new card engineers on the workings of machines within unit
  • Conduct technical training to team members and Customers when required
  • Sourcing for spares by liaising with machine suppliers and required technical partners
  • Responsible in setting up new machines and conducting pre-­delivery inspection prior to installation at Customers’ premises
  • Commit and discharge duties in compliance with the ISO 9001 and any other requirements and standards
  • Any other duties as required by the management from time to time

Requirements and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics or Physics
  • At least 2 years experience in a related field.
  • Very keen graduates will be considered as training is provided.
