Description

1. Become part of a team of drilling/completion and well tested engineers in planning and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of development, exploration and appraisal wells in water-depths between 19ft and 200ft, offshore Nigeria (OML-123)
2. Operations involve the following special challenges:
3. High pressure / narrow margin drilling techniques
4. High angle/extended reach drilling
5. Subsea completions and well testing
6. Third party staff, service and equipment quality
7. Complex supply chain and logistics
8. Interaction with other (G&G) departments

Requirements

1. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, of which at least 3 in a similar position.
2. Extensive experience involving semi’s, knowledge of onshore operations and jack-up operations would be beneficial.
3. Previous Nigerian /West African experience is advantageous.
4. Technical / engineering qualification required.
5. IWCF sub sea well control at supervisory level or equivalent.
6. Thorough understanding of HSE, its application in drilling and ensuring standards are met. Capable of leading by example
7. Strong drive for continuous performance improvement.
8. Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading effectively in a multi-cultural society.
9. Good team member
10. Completion and testing experience
11. Able to work under sustained high workload, meet tight deadlines yet still deliver quality work
12. Competence with drilling engineering software
13. Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processor and presentation software
14. Project management skills
15. Excellent knowledge of drilling engineering and international industry standards, ideally acquired while working for a large international operator
16. Good organisation and project management skills, ensuring efficient application of the company’s well delivery and commercial processes
