Babcock University Teaching Hospital - Medical Record Officers and Graduate Health Record Technicians

The Babcock University Teaching Hospital (College of Health and Medical Sciences) comprise of Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry and Public Health. In addition, it will provide facilities for a 750-bed Hospital comprising of: 200-bed Children Hospital, 250-bed Women Hospital, and an Adult Hospital.


Also, the College will include an African Medical Research Centre where missionary-minded researchers shall render selfless services in finding solutions to various diseases that are depreciating the value of health on the African continent.

Applications are required from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

1.) Medical Record Officer

Duties

  • Will be in charge of all medical records, the analysis and provision of monthly data necessary for the hospital management. The officer shall make records available for research following appropriate approval.
  • The officer will ensure the availability or adequate instrument of medical record management.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess
  • A degree In Health Information Management or Its equivalent.
  • Membership of the Institute of Health Records in Nigeria
  • A masters degree In Health information Management will be an advantage.

2.) Health Record Technician

Duties
Will work with the Medical Record Officer in ensuring adequate health record management in the hospital

Qualifications
Candidates must possess
  • Certificate of registration of the institute of Health Records after successful completion of the prescribed 3 years training program.
  • Associate membership of the Associate of medical record
