Job description The IBM Innovation Centre (IIC) is one of 42 world-wide centers and part of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) & Developer Relations (IDR). The primary role of the IIC is to accelerate the sales cycle and reduce the cost of sale, by demonstrating IBM as the market leader in business values, innovation and dedication to every client’s success. The IIC provides facilities for client support across the sales cycle, from awareness and enablement to marketing and sales. All of these activities are executed in support of helping clients maximize their relationship with IBM. The IIC provides resources for Business Partners, IT professionals and academia to grow business and expertise in the following areas: Marketing and selling connect with local IBM sales teams, host lead generation and sales closure meetings and collaborate with IBM and other Business Partners, IT professionals and academia. Work with local experts around the world to reach new markets. Technical resources architect and enable applications on IBM Systems and software. Technical experts are ready to help with development and testing requirements. Once engaged with the IIC, there is access to IT architects and specialists around the world. Training and events find a wide range of no-charge workshops, seminars, and briefings conducted by highly trained subject matter experts. These events help build technical skills, learn how to market and sell more effectively with IBM, and connect with other Business Partners, IT professionals and academia. Personalized guidance for IBM resources through a project resource manager (PRM). The PRM helps guide through end-to-end life cycle activities from solution development through go-to-market. IBM Innovation Centre Manager The IIC Manager is responsible for prioritization, allocation and management of staff and workload in the centre. The IIC Manager prioritizes requests and assigns resources working within the framework of the centre’s objectives. The IIC Manager balances the many pressures for current requests whilst also ensuring a smooth, qualified, current and future pipeline of work that ultimately drives IBM revenue and increases client satisfaction. The IIC Manager is tasked with the following: • Working with stakeholders to identify, coordinate and host appropriate offerings to support stakeholder targets • Managing and assigning the workload of individual members of the IIC team to support IIC objectives • Providing regular, effective reporting of results against targets • Maintaining good working relationships with the stakeholder groups and other internal organizations whose clients’ will be using the IIC. • Working with the IIC Marketing and Event Coordinator to maximize the utilization of the IIC facilities to promote IBM technologies build effective pipeline and over-achieve the IIC objectives • Engaging IBM technical enablement support infrastructure to assist/ensure ISV enablement and delivery • Delivering IBM/ISV solutions to the market • Positively influencing the customer satisfaction rating |
