Job Description
Travels frequently to render service on DMC product and systems at customer’s site.
Travels frequently to provide site supervision of service technicians performing installation, SAT and commissioning of DMC product and systems at customer’s site.
Acts as point of contact with customer’s engineering personnel and other DMC field personnel.
Delegate work tasks and supervise engineering services sourced from reps and third party service contractors.
Advises on technical design concepts and training of customers and representatives in the maintenance and operating procedures of the DMC product.
Perform design changes, version updates and equipment repair for DMC products and systems.
Advises Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control and others on specific design changes made, operating conditions and problems encountered.
Provide supervisory/assistance at customer’s site during installation and commissioning of complex DMC systems and products.
Provide technical instruction and assistance both in person and over the phone to customer and representative service personnel regarding the installation, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment at customer installation.
Assist sales in providing solutions, technical presentation and applications of the DMC products.
Lead in house FAT with customer.
Attend training courses service third party equipment bought by DMC engineering for system projects.
Responsible to furnishing site metering and work reports.
Required to keep daily timesheets.
File information and paperwork, both in soft copy and hard copy, for all activities.
Actively understands and perform work to ISO standards as applicable to job scope.
Setting and achieving Daniel Service Business booking and sales goals for country that the engineer is reporting to. Generate monthly bookings/POR forecast to Service BDM / Service Operation Manager.
Provide sales and technical support leadership to Daniel direct sales resources as well as Daniel Representative channels in MEA territory. Quarterly and yearly channel performance review.
Leadership role in established pricing practices, project pursuit and quote strategy and participate in proposal generation when required.
In conjunction with Daniel Service BDM, Emerson Regional General Managers and Marketing resources to formulate sales and marketing strategies to penetrate markets and or accounts and develop alternate sales channels when needed.
Liaise with global Daniel organization to coordinate pursuit, pricing and account plans on multinational projects accounts.
Analyze the MEA Service Market by products and develop growth strategies / business development plan in under penetrated segments
Identify, qualify and lead in the pursuit of Service business in Crude Oil/Refined Oil/Petrochemical, Natural Gas Up Stream, Process Plant, Pipeline projects. Penetrate new market by relevant application and service solutions
Develop / Maintain appropriate Sales Tools for sales force, such as presentation, application note, competitor comparison sheet, etc. Assist in the launch of new products within assigned territory.
Provide knowledge exchange to sales force through training and application experiences.
Assist Cross division sales team with planning and execution of country advertising, marketing programs, customer seminars, training programs and industry specific seminars.
Keep close working relationship with End-users and Metrology regulation organization to understand and influence the metrology standard
Job Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Technology and minimum of three plus years of related experience or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Technology and minimum of eight plus years related experience, preferably in instrumentation and metering for the Petroleum industry.
Proficient in trouble shooting and repair of all Daniel and related I&C devices, competent in fiscal flow measurement, DMC Competency Level rating 3
Must be fully capable and intimate with departmental tools used, including but not limited to TEAM, JDE and Hyperion in addition to basic software such as MS products.
Fluent in English with some knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
Willing to travel.
Willing to work in harsh environments.
Good supervision skills, particularly at sites with short deadlines.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
