Job Description

The job purpose is to grow SME FX revenues thorough:-
• Providing professional treasury services to the banks existing SME Banking customers with a view to increase FX flows.
• On-boarding new to bank SME customers who can generate FX revenues for SME Banking.

Key Roles & Responsibilities


• To implement the sales plans to ensure that revenue targets are achieved.
• To plan, co-ordinate and monitor (track) FX product performance on an ongoing basis
• To ensure fair & objective competitive reimbursement rate pricing.
• To ensure prudent & smooth operational processing.
• Make client calls relating to FX products thereby increasing volume and P&L.
• Actively participate in joint sales calls with SME sales team (RM's, BRM's) to promote FX products to customers
• Service and call on existing & potential customers for SME Banking on an ongoing basis to obtain further business & to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Provide ongoing product training to all SME RM's and branch staff.
• Improve process flows to increase efficiency.
• Keep track of products and marketing initiative of competitor banks in the market.
• To ensure all deals in FX comply with SME credit policy.
• Compliance with Bank and local regulations.
• Migrate best practices to and from other group centers.
• Maintain competitive FX pricing compared to other banks.
• Provide feedback to VSGM-SME Banking on clients changing needs to ensure that SCB's product offering are current.
• Provide quality economic information to SME Sales team and customers related to FX volatility as part of education and promotion of FX products.
• To keep abreast of latest trends in the foreign exchange markets and advice customers.
• To assist in marketing of new FX products.
• Create and maintain records of customers and be aware of their needs and currency exposure to be enabled to advise them accordingly.
• To understand customers' businesses and to anticipate their requirements through consultative selling using the SPIN model. To match customers' needs with product capabilities through presentation of tailored proposals. To negotiate terms and conditions with customers to maximize revenue and profitability.
• To provide assistance to relationship managers in maintaining ongoing close contact with clients. On a product partnership basis, ensure targeted realizations rates are met to generate new revenue opportunities, and to gain feedback on the product. To conduct joint calling with Relationship Managers to provide technical FX expertise.
• To identify opportunities for cross-selling and referral to other SCB lines through developing and maintaining a close understanding of customers' businesses.
• To participate in various client functions, conduct client surveys and conduct Focus groups to ensure product and market intelligence feedback is solicited, and used in a way which enhances SCB's competitive positive.

• Assist the VSGM - SME Banking in the development and implementation of dynamic sales plans in line with overall product strategy plans

Qualifications & Skills


• University Graduate.
• Minimum 4/5 years experience in Banking Sector preferably with some exposure to Treasury FX Sales.
• Thorough knowledge of consumer banking products and exposure to Trade Services, Treasury and Cash Management products and services.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Leadership, management, organizational, and people management skills
• Strong communications, negotiations skills, sensitivity to local cultural issues and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to keep abreast on changes in the market, customer requirements, competitors responses and the banks ability to use information to identify new business opportunities
