POSITION TITLE Senior Manager, PS Core Planning
REPORTING TO : Head, Planning
LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria

JOB PURPOSE: This function will be fully responsible for the Packet Core nodes and support uninterrupted data services to our end users. Person is responsible in coordinating with various other teams to ensure no bottlenecks and service interruptions are observed in data services.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Uninterrupted data service Delivery Plan, optimize and expand all PS core nodes ( SGSN, GGSN, SASN, SAPC & ADC) as per the business and network requirements Liaise with partner teams and other department to assure seamless data services.
Monitor Continuously monitor the network traffic and observe various trends to detect any potential bottlenecks in advance and take corrective action. Pro-active ordering/alert to other teams to assure good data services.
Expand & Evolve Core Network Understand the business requirements and impact on the data network infrastructure. Responsible for planning all expansion of nodes well in advance. Plan evolution of PS core network to best industry practices..
Employee Engagement Maintain high Team Harmony and Engagement at all times.
New Initiatives Explore new initiatives which meets business requirements.
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
 Any of the following:
Bachelor/Masters of Telecommunication Engineering degree
 Working Telecommunications Knowledge Analytical and Presentation skills
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
 Minimum of 8-10years’ working Experience
 Minimum of 1 years managing as head of PS core in any network
 Past Experience in a managing PS core network is must.
 Experience on Ericsson PS core will be added advantage
