Engineer-Indoor Deployment

Reports To: Manager-Site Co-Location and Indoor Deployment
Job Summary:
Ensure end-to-end on-target deployment of indoor sites
Principal Functions:
Ensure that the network site work programme is on target and make necessary decisions to assist vendors and site build contractors keep to schedule
Co-ordinate all assigned indoor site construction activities from start-up to site handover to Network Operations
Conduct Technical Site surveys of new indoor sites
Co-ordinate all step-by-step acceptance testing activities
Ensure that installation teams conduct feeder and antenna line verification tests (VSWR, Return loss and Distance to fault)
Ensure SHE requirements are adhered to by site contractors
Record and resolve first-level Punch list issues with contractors
Work to handover quality network sites to the Network Operations team
Deliver continuous progress reporting on all assigned network site rollout to the line manager
Educational Requirements: First degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline. Relevant project management certifications will be an advantage
Experience & Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years work experience, at least one [1] of which should be in GSM network site build or GSM equipment installation (in either BSS, TX or NSS)
Good knowledge of 2G, 3G and LTE technology
Good knowledge of indoor site build
Good knowledge of Distributed Antenna Systems
Good Knowledge of BSS site standards and industry best practice
Good knowledge of Transmission Implementation, BTS implementation, Site Power and Cell sites Civil construction works
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
Strong reporting and communications skills
