Reports To: Manager-Solutions Analysis & Design
Job Summary:
Plan, analyze and design solutions for a multi-domain IT to engender a world class and extensible architecture providing platforms for sustainable business capabilities in a fast-paced telecommunications business environment
Principal Functions:
Analyze, architect and design IT systems including enterprise IT, BSS/OSS and related telco platforms
Provide internal consultancy for investigating business systems, identifying options for improvement and bridging the needs of the business with the use of IT
Assess and evaluate business requirements as part of a strategic business programme
Create/contribute to the development of concise and accurate documentation of solutions designs (both functional & technical) for existing and newly-deployed solutions within the technology environment
Interface with others teams within and outside IT in the process of delivering business capabilities
Interface with vendors, suppliers and partners to ensure effectively optimized adoption and delivery of solutions
Educational Requirements: First degree or equivalent in Computer Science/ Engineering, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or other numerate science. Relevant IT and telecommunications certifications desirable
Experience & Skills:
Between two (2) and five (5) years relevant post-NYSC work experience in an IT capacity management or related role, including experience in at least two (2) IT disciplines, e.g technical infrastructure, application development, middleware, database management and operations
Good understanding of telecommunications business and technology model
Practical working knowledge with hands-on exposure to key mobile CSP network elements
Demonstrable experience in planning, building and running telecom BSS/OSS and related platforms will be an advantage
Very good understanding of business analysis and project management methods
Very good conceptual and analytical thinking
Good interpersonal and communication skills
