Manager-Data (Product Development)

Reports To: Head-Data, Portals & VAS
Job Summary:
Ensure project functional delivery of all mobile internet and mobile broadband products and propositions
Principal Functions:
Lead the design and functional specifications/requirements implementation of new and enhanced mobile data products and propositions
Participate in decisions on Etisalat Nigeria’s mobile data technology road map as well as tender/ technology evaluation
Plan and implement convergence of fixed and mobile data services; assess impact and potential of new technologies
Identify potential service innovations and proffer recommendations on identified concepts through to launch
Propose modifications to enhance all data-related products/services
Manage cross functional teams (IT, Engineering, Commercial and Admin Support Teams) to design and implement mobile data product development projects
Prepare detailed planning forecasts – covering data usage, subscriber traffic, etc – for input into network planning and systems capacity planning
Ensure adherence to defined product development and management processes at all stages in service creation and product lifecycle management
Define and implement fixed and mobile data products and services including enablers/ commercial solutions for all of Etisalat Nigeria’s target market segments
Assist in implementing the unit’s work programmes and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines
Assist in planning and managing the human and material resources of the unit to optimise performance, morale and enhance productivity
Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions
Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives
Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head-Data, Portals & VAS
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head-Data, Portals & VAS
Educational Requirements: First degree in relevant discipline, e.g Engineering and IT. Postgraduate/ professional qualifications in relevant fields will be an advantage
Experience & Skills: Between five (5) and eight (8) years relevant work experience, at least most recent three (3) in a supervisory role
