Full-time Senior Engineer-Quality of Service (QoS)

Reports To: Head-Quality of Service

Job Summary:

Co-ordinate with drive test teams to address customers’ complaints and report findings; follow up on network issues to ensure resolution and customers’ satisfaction

Principal Functions:

Maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products from the end-user’s perspective

Maintain systems to measure performance against established standards from drive test statistics and Quality of Experience (QoE) tools

Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/ advise/ assist according to performance levels using the proper QoE tools

Monitor, communicate and apply standards created/ maintained by external bodies and integrate within internal quality management systems

Implement necessary communication strategy for awareness and improvement in resolution of quality issues across all departments

Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (especially as impacted/ affected by quality issues)

Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards from the customer’s perspective

Co-ordinate the drive test teams to get optimum results

Follow up with customers’ complaints with the relevant departments until issues are resolved and customers satisfied

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical/ Electronic/ Communications/ Computer Engineering or any other relevant discipline

Relevant postgraduate and/or professional qualifications/ certifications will be an added advantage


Experience & Skills:

Between two (2) and five (5) years directly-relevant post-NYSC work experience in mobile telecommunications systems, preferably in quality, performance and/ or planning

Ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate:

• Leadership potential
• Strong technical, analytical and documentation skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Good knowledge of 2G and 3G technologies
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
