Brunel Energy Nigeria - Operations Coordinator

A leading global oil and gas operator currently requires an Operations Coordinator to join an FSO project in Nigeria.

Job

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

• To pursue HSE objectives and ensure that the activities are carried out in compliance with Company HSE procedures and standards.
• Contribution to elaboration of technical solutions, write scopes of work, handle documentation review in conformity with Company standards, rules, procedures, objectives, budget and schedule on behalf of the Technical Manager and Project Manager.
• Preparation and review loading procedures, sea-fastening, transport, lifting, carry-out and installation of modules, flexible, cables, umbilicals; to conduct subsea inspection campaigns.
• Supervision naval operations on behalf of the Technical Manager.
• Follow up on planning, works and implementation of inspection plans on contractors’ or suppliers’ premises.
• Assistance commissioning teams as required.
• Ensuring that contractors work in accordance with Company rules and procedures, with particular attention to health, safety, environment and sustainable development.
• Submission a weekly report to his hierarchical superiors and check daily reports from site during naval operations.
• To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors.

Requirements

Candidate profile Required:

• Petroleum engineer with experience in naval operations.
• West African FSU / FPSO experience preferred
• Good English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiar with SIMOPS and Marine Co-Activities. Set-up of SIMOPS matrix and write procedures.

• Coordination with Installation Contractor regarding SIMOPS and Marine Co-Activities.
• Ensuring that subordinates and contractors are aware of and comply with HSE rules and regulations.

About the organization

The role is based in Port Harcourt on a 4/4 rotation, anticipated duration until Q2 2013.
