Oil Servicing Industry Jobs - Base Manager, Saturation Divers

Our company is a major player in the Oil Servicing Industry and due to recent expansions; we seek to engage personnel for immediate employment in the following positions.


Position: Base Manager

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Good Knowledge of General Office Administration
  • Determine Personnel support requirements
  • Coordinating contract record-keeping requirement
  • Providing assistance, managing and offering training to staff at the base
  • Liaising with clientele at their base
  • Bid follow – ups
  • Ability to obtain necessary equipment and supplies
  • Ensure that all facilities and equipment are set up and properly functioning
  • Ensure that strict compliance is made with all applicable safety regulations
  • Ensure that all facility maintenance services are provided


Experience and Qualifications:
  • B.Sc. or HND in Business Administration or related fields
  • Oil Service experience will be of advantage
  • Must be Computer Literate
  • Excellent Communication, Writing and Reporting Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Creative, Target Driven with excellent organizational skills
  • Age: 40-45 years.

Position: Saturation Divers
Job Description
  • Ensure all dive system electrical works (planned or unplanned) are approved and carried out safely and to the highest standards.
  • Provide appropriate technical support for dive systems and all ancillary equipment
  • Liaise with Offshore Technicians on all aspects of dive equipment maintenance refurbishment/upgrades; provide advice and assistance as required
  • Assist in planned maintenance of the company Life Support Packages as required
  • Onshore maintenance of diving related equipment, when required
  • Assist in planning vessel maintenance periods/upgrades
  • Update system planned maintenance procedures
  • Review and update system electrical drawings as required.
  •  Provide technical advice and assistance on class, IMCA and industry standards
  • Assessments of Dive Systems
  • Ensuring spares are recorded and stored in a suitable manner
  • Liaise with all departments within the company to ensure good communication (is) are maintained
  • Provide cover for Dive Systems Technical Authority when required
  • Any other duties as maybe be requested by your Line Manager

Experience and Qualification
  • Minimum of three (3) years of commercial oilfield diving experience with references
  • Able to dive below 200ft of water
  • Available for rapid response call-out work on 24/7 basis
  • Skills desired include DMT, NDT 9MT, FMD, UT Thickness), Burning, Mixed gas (includes Rack Operation) , and or Construction/Rigging
  • City & Guilds or equivalent at least five (5) years experience working off shore on a DSV (Diving Saturation Vessel) in the position of Diver
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to build effective working relationships
  • Ability to effectively manage own workload, and to work within given timescales (both internal and external), ensuring project requirements are met
  • Adaptability and problem solving capability integrity and high commitment to the performance of the role and business
