Alphastar Paints Industries Limited is positioned to manufacture high quality paints products that will match international standards, the company initially started business as Celebrity Paints Limited in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2005 and later rebranded and changed its name from Celebrity Paints Limited to Alphastar Paints Industries Limited in 2011 with the head-office and factory at Elebele Light Industrial lay-out in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
The company is one of the leading paints manufacturers in the southern part of Nigeria with an array of product lines, which include Emulsion, Texcoat, Gloss, Industrial, Automotive, Marine Paints, Wood Finish and Putty of different kinds. The quality policy of the company is well defined in such a way as to cover the framework for establishing and reviewing the products quality from time to time. The company is on course of being ISO 9001:2008 certified.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Yenagoa, Bayelsa State

Job Purpose:
Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Duties:

• Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
• Prepares quarterly and annual statements by assembling data.
• Complies with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; calculating monthly, quarterly and yearly estimated tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings.
• Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
• Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations.
• Prepares special reports by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts.
• Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices
• Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bsc/HND in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance with 2.2/Lower Credit,
• 3-5 Years experience in a similar role
• Deadline-Oriented, Managing Profitability, Accounting, Audit, Financial Skills, Analyzing Information , Research Skills, Statistical Analysis, Business Knowledge.
• Good knowledge of ERP Accounting software will be an added advantage.
