Job Description :  
  Job Purpose:

To provide geosciences support for Neconde OML-42 assets (fields and reservoirs) by providing up-to date reservoir description of the reservoirs, support quality estimates of hydrocarbon volumes and reserves, provide support for field development activities, exploration and production optimization activities. Apply knowledge, technology and best practices to ensure a solid geologic understanding of OML-42 reservoirs and leverage the understanding for value creation – maximization of production and reserves.

Key Result Areas Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Reservoir Description, Mapping and Production Support

1.Maintain up-to-date structural and stratigraphic description of reservoirs including regional description of reservoir systems
2.Develop a solid understanding of depositional setting of fields and reservoirs
3.Build geologic models using latest technology and best practices for the characterization of reservoirs for reservoir simulation
4.Maintain up-to-date structural maps and reservoir properties map of assigned fields and reservoirs, ensuring that maps have sufficient accuracy to provide reliable estimates of original and remaining hydrocarbon in-place volumes.
5.Provide geological support for drilling and Workover activities.
6.Routinely provide geological insight into well problems, reservoir challenges towards resolving problems
7.Liaise with Geophysicists to ensure new technologies are adopted to improve geologic description of reservoirs.
8.Work seamlessly with petroleum engineers to optimize hydrocarbon resources and production in OML 42
   
Requirement :  
  Paper Qualification:
Minimum B.Sc (Minimum second Class lower) in Geology or related Geosciences from a reputable University. A Masters degree in Geology is preferred
  Experience:
Minimum 5+ years work experience in similar role.
  Must Have (apart from the above):
Key Competencies:
1.Ability to interpret geologic features from seismic data
2.Good understanding of Niger delta geology and depositional settings
3.Competency in the use of suites of geological software for interpretation, mapping and reservoir modeling.
4.Competency in the basic interpretation of well logs
5.Effective oral and written communication skills, particularly for technical presentations.
6.Self-motivated to learn and adopt new technologies and impart knowledge to others.
7.Proactive analytical skills with attention to details and process improvements
8.Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work
9.Excellent team player and ability to perform very well in a cross-functional work environment.
