Reports To: Operations Duty Manager Function: Operations Location: MMIA
Purpose Statement: To supervise daily operations control activities of Air Nigeria based on regulatory, government and operational procedure.
Key Accountabilities: •
Analyze operational conditions and identify any opportunity that may
constrain, impede or benefit operational capabilities inclusive of but
not limited to weather, facilities, Air Traffic Control, and aircraft
performance. • To monitor weather conditions, aircraft position report and aeronautical navigation charts to evaluate progress of flight. • Interface with Apron control on issues concerning aircraft swap and stand re-allocation for daily operations. •
Prepares and transmits all flight movement messages by SITA, radio,
telephones etc to all users based on standard messaging system. •
Resolving with Maintenance control, Pilot-in-command, flight Dispatcher
as required, problems caused by any aircraft deviation from standard
which may limit or impact flight operational capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: • A good University degree or its equivalent. • Flight dispatch or flight operations qualification. • Working knowledge of computer based operations tools. • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Analytical and numerical skills. • Strong negotiating and relationship management skills • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills. • At least 5 years industry experience in a related role with experience of supervising/managing people • At least 2 years experience in flight control and flight following duties. Working Relationships: Flight Deck, Cabin Services, Commercial planning Department. NCAA, NAMA, FAAN, FAA and other regulatory bodies and handling agents.
