Job

EPC Procured Equipment
• Ensure Contractor develops procedure for PO quality administration and oversight of Vendor activities
• Ensure corrective action process is established
• Monitor Contractor processes
• Interface with Project Quality and steward resolution of issues and concerns
• Responsible for effective implementation of the Procurement Surveillance Program
• Endorse critical bidders and sub-suppliers
• Determine the need for shop surveys of proposed suppliers
• Participate in the review of RFQ packages and bid proposals
• Review key vendor quality plans, procedures, and ITP’s
• Attend selected vendor meetings (pre-award, pre-inspection, in process, FAT’s)
• Review and approve Contractor’s source inspector selection and inspection order assignments.
• Monitor Contractor’s source inspection activities and review FAT schedule for PMT involvement
• Review selected source inspection reports based upon criticality rating
• Monitor vendor quality issues and bring to resolution
• Process and track Corrective Action and Nonconformance reports
• Receive quality feedback from sites
• Interface with sites regarding logistics quality
• Identify the need for supplemental source inspection by Company and issue monitoring inspection assignments.
• Advises and informs PQM/QAC on quality issues, status and metrics.
• Reports to Quality assurance Coordinator (QAC)

Requirements

• Strong preference for formal technical education or equivalent in industry technical, quality assurance and auditor/ assessor training. Degree is not required but is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to function effectively with project management, technical, and inspection personnel.
• Good supervisory skills
• Continuous improvement/KPI skills
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Quality Assurance/ Control related to inspection of procured materials and equipment for the Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical Industry.
• Minimum of five (5) years as an Inspection Coordinator/ Chief Inspector or equivalent. Experience working for major engineering/ purchasing Contractor and Client is preferred.
• Worldwide experience with contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of offshore and onshore production facilities.
• Experience in management, supervision or other responsible role, including development and implementation of plans and programs. Experience in resolving interface issues.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English
